Loyal Daughter, Moneka Latrece Void, is a native of Augusta, GA and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Professional English from South Carolina State University in 2017. She is a member of the Greater Augusta Alumni Chapter and is a Life Member of the South Carolina State University National Alumni Association. While at South Carolina State University. Moneka was a part of the university's cheerleading program for 3 years and 2 competition seasons, with one of those competition seasons securing the MEAC cheerleading co-ed championship title in 2008. Upon graduating from SC State, Moneka returned home to begin her teaching career at her high school alma mater, George P. Butler High School. Moneka works as an English teacher, teaching grades 9th through 12th. While working full-time as an educator, Moneka completed her Master of Arts in Teaching in Secondary Education program at Mercer University in the winter of 2021. Moneka is currently the Head Coach of the Butler High School Varsity cheerleading team and the assistant coach for the SC State Spirit Program. Moneka truly loves sharing her talent and skills with others but makes it a priority to recognize and give back to the program and university who believed in her and taught her the true meaning of Bulldog Tenacity. Moneka is the proud daughter of Deborah Ann Coleman-Void, Class of 1980 and '85, and Donnell Void.
