We need your help, join a committee.....

Please consider donating your time to any of the following committees:

Amenities – The Amenities Committee is responsible for contacting chapter members/family to acknowledge births, illness, and deaths.

Bulldog Reunion – The Bulldog Round Up Committee is responsible for coordinating activities for alumni and family members during the Scholarship Gala weekend.

Community Service – The Community Service committee is responsible for organizing or finding projects for the chapter to participate in the metro Charlotte region.

Scholarship Fundraiser – The Scholarship Fundraising Committee is responsible for the annual scholarship dinner dance fundraiser; ads and solicitations from patrons; ticket sales and seating arrangements; and shall make periodic reports to the Executive Board to include recommendations for improvements of the banquet.

Heritage & Archives – The Heritage & Archives Committee is responsible for collecting, organizing, preserving, and making accessible primary source materials relating to the history of the Charlotte Chapter of South Carolina State University National Alumni Association.

Hospitality & Special Events – The Hospitality/Special Events Committee shall be responsible for planning activities for the alumni members and Executive Board members whenever such meetings are held and shall include among its functions the participation of the Chapter Gala and any other activity designated by the Executive Board or through its executive committee. This Committee shall be responsible for the organization and administration of all other events of the Chapter not the responsibility of any other committee.

Membership – The Membership Committee is to recruit new persons and increase the number of financial members, while maintaining the enrollment of individuals currently active with the chapter.

Nominating & Awards – The Nominating & Awards Committee shall submit an official slate or roster of nominees for the various offices, as prescribed in these By-laws, each odd year. The Nominating & Awards Committee shall also be subject to the direction of the Executive Board and shall receive nominations for such awards as may be approved, select the winners and make appropriate arrangements for presentation of such awards.

Scholarship & Recruitment – The Scholarship & Recruitment Committee shall be responsible for establishing criteria for scholarships, secure materials regarding scholarships, formulate necessary materials for applications and mail same to each chapter. This committee is also responsible for organizing information session to recruit local area high school students to attend South Carolina State University.

Scholarship Golf Tournament - The Golf committee is responsible for the annual scholarship golf tournament.

Technology - The Technology committee handles all the technology needs of the chapter from social media management, email distribution, virtual experience, and technology access.

Ways and Means - The Ways and Means committee is to secure financial resources and in-kind support to ensure the future of South Carolina State University by providing scholarships to local students who plan to matriculate at the university.
